Emotional Support Program

The Talley Emotional Support Program (ESP) is a specialized district-wide program which is housed within Talley Middle School. This program provides expert teachers and therapists to educate students in our district with the most complex needs.

English Language Learners
Students come to Brandywine School District from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds. We recognize that our diversity adds to a rich educational landscape.  We understand that some of our students come to us with limited English language skills; they may be recent immigrants to the US or from families that speak another language at home.  Further, they might be able to speak English fluently with their friends but don’t know how to communicate in English well enough to talk about academic subjects. BSD serves approximately English Language Learners who speak 53 different languages. Click Here to learn more about English Language Learner services in BSD.

Special Education
Every student in a Brandywine School District classroom brings a unique blend of strengths and challenges.  The Educational Services Department provides supports and services to level the playing field for those who learn differently.  We invite parents to become active team members in their child’s education.  Together, we make it possible for our students with disabilities to reach their full potential by providing them access, inclusion, and opportunities in all aspects of their educational program. Click Here to learn more about Special Education services in BSD.
