School Nurse

 

My name is Jackie Kimball and I am the school nurse at Talley Middle School.  My background is in critical care nursing, having worked in the Medical ICU at Christiana Care for 8 years.  I started school nursing in BSD in 2019 as a float nurse and then transitioned to Talley in 2020.  I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at West Chester University and later achieved my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in nursing leadership and education at Wilmington University.  The main function of the school nurse is to keep students healthy, safe and ready to learn.  We are the sole medical professional in the building and are here to support your student’s physical, mental and emotional health.  I look forward to working with you and your students!  Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
